Telugu Film industry, since its moved from Madras went through lot of struggle to find its own name and space in Indian Cinema.
For any film industry, it is important to have successful films, yet some land mark films in different genres. Love and romantic genre is a heart soothing genre and its not easy to satisfy audience in that. That too a out and out love story from a top league actors is a feast to watch.
We have landmark films in 90's and early 2000's. Even now we have few films like Ye Maaya Chesave,Yeto Velli poyindi Manasu,Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju,Ala Modalindi,Ishq,Gunde Jaari Gallantayinde..etc. But either its dubbing flavour or screenplay issues or lack of carrying love emotion., these films failed to fall in that 'Watch it to feel' category.
Current generation films depends mainly on dialogues and dances. Writers and Directors focusing only on getting budget back, not for passion towards a film. When passion comes in picture it will be a 'Monument'.
Pawan's Kushi,Prabhas 'Varsham' and Bunny's 'Aarya' stood out in carrying that sensitive love feel. Though these films too have a mixture of showcasing heroism, fights and dances, director didn't leave the motto of highlighting 'Love'.
Experiment King Mahesh did 'Yuvaraju' with two heroines.Though it is commercially didn't work and had two females, Hero's love and genuine struggle towards ex love steals the show.
Later on Faction backdrops,Voilence,Family sentiments,Comedy became main course and side lined the feel in scripts. In a way, though script and story has some love elements, these remaining things over shadowing it.
Hope Writers and film makers give a thought for this and comes up with some nice stories.
