2 Weeks Ban on 2 Minutes Noodles, Kurkure to follow !


Noodles brand Maggi to face more trouble after the Centre lodged a complaint with the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission against the  Swiss manufacturer, Nestle. Delhi government imposed a 15-day ban on the sale of the product.

Not only Delhi, other states Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, West Bengal and Odisha, have decided to send samples for testing.Army Camps,Future Group’s 700 food outlets, including Big Bazaar, have also stopped selling this product.

Some other products such as Kurkure and branded chips have also come under the scanner following the Maggi controversy.

“Several companies do not adhere to food safety standards in India. There should be continuous market surveillance for safety standards,” an official source said.

It was highly spreaded in social media and in other sections that Maggie,coke and Kurkure has high quantity of lead and plastic in their products. But indians kept ignoring them and treated these instant foods as part of their daily life.

At least now, if government bans these products, it would be a great move in respect of public's health.
