Music Maestro Ilayaraja popular for his cool melodies and heart soothing music. For decades he retained his legacy and created a brand on his name.
So, it was obvious that his songs and music have been used in bits n pieces in entertainment industry. Channels which were dedicated to music and songs do play all kinds of songs and ilayaraja's songs are one among those.
But this music legend started making fuss around that off late and fighting legally to have rights on his own music.
Though legally his demand seems right, its a general music lovers question, why he was silent all these years and raising voice now., also why cannot he see that as 'Respect to his Work' ?
If that is the case, Ghantasala,Saluri, Rahman..etc music directors and their heirs can fight for their respective music bits. Eventually listeners lose respect and interest towards them. It would be good Ilayaraja leave this matter now and moves on.
