Bangladesh ODI Captain Mashrafe Mortaza met with an accident on thursday. It was heard that he took auto rikshaw to reach Sher Bangla Stadium for practice as his car was used for other personal use.
A Bus hit auto that he is travelling. Mashrafe realized the mishap and jumped before the major damage. He survived with some skin patches and other muscle pains.
He said in a statement "As my car was used to take my child to the doctor for vaccination, I preferred a rickshaw to the ground as it would take just 10 minutes to reach stadium from my house. I was lucky to escape with little skin damage".
As he suffered injuries on both hands, it was unsure whether he will be fit for ODI series against India starting from June 18th.
